Went down to the countdown party held by Mediacorp at Vivocity...
Though the waiting time was long, but it was worthwhile. The party was fun, entertaining and very high... haha... it really made you scream...

One of the tittles the TLN team formed was "奶大百的百". haha...

Though they lost, it was really fun to watch =)

The 'AH GEs'

The results of the top 8 favourite male and female characters were announced. Wow. All of Jeanette's nominated characters won, 4 in total. She indeed beat the others hands down. =)

When the hosts asked her how she felt, she went blur... haha.. reason being, she thought that the images shown on the screen were the nominated characters. She was asked to go on stage before she knew what was happening. Thats why she was totally lost when the hosts asked her questions...

what a fun way to end year 2008 and welcome 2009

It was a really high and entertaining night...

malacca trip (28 to 29 dec)

as the peranankan craze is still on, we quickly made use of this last week of the holiday to visit the place where peranankan used to stay (in malacca).....

these are clogs which were worn by peranankan in old times, we had bought some back.......

finally, we visited the house which was used in 'the little nyonya'. this house was originally owed by a very rich peranankan family, but now it is converted into a musuem.....unfortunately, we were not allowed to take picture inside the house..... so, what we got is the front door only.....

after the musuem, we moved along the way and ended up visiting the church of xavier...

then, we headed to giant, do some shopping, and headed back singapore......we do enjoy this trip....

the little nyonya roadshow (27 dec)

the little nyonya roadshow was hold in compass point on 27 dec. grace is the big fan of TLN, especially the idol, jeanette was there. they are giving out the poster for just 100 pcs at 2 pm. by the time we reached, the queue were already more than hundred. luckily grace had spotted one of the members from the fan club, and her standing was within 100th. she managed to join in with her, and got the poster. her queue no. was already at the 90+, see how lucky she was.

look at the crowd, the whole mall was just packed with people....even the escalators stopped running so ppl could stand there to view the show....


the host for that day was ben yeo... he was much better looking in person than on screen...

the singer for the theme song, olivia ong, a very sweet girl.....

秀凤..... saw the little 月娘 standing at the back... she went there to support this show, and was spotted by jeanette.... was called to the stage too....

just look at the crowd... and you can imagined why the tiles on the floor were cracked...

it was reported that there were about 5000 people turned up for this road show, and that showed this show was really a success. look at the poster we got, somemore it was personnally signed by the artistes......
