sweet sweet 17 (26 dec)

finally grace's 17 birthday...we went to marina barrage to celebrate her birthday....

granny, mama, elder boy, and the younger boy, where's the birthday gal??? oh, she was busy being the photographer... mum showing her beautiful leg....

the birthday gal was absorbing the 'qi' of nature ........

the scared boy was trying to run away from the camera......

look at the clear blue sky, and you can imagine how beautiful was that day....

bbq/camp

grace had long wanted a bbq followed by a camping in somewhere other than the home, and finally her wish came true.

we had gone to changi beach for a small bbq, just our family alone.... we had a 8 men tent. this was the third time this tent was used. due to the strong wind, it was not easy to pitch the tent stably, however we did it, but hoping it would stay through the nite....

after the makaning of the food, only mum and daugther stayed, the rest of the family had gone back for their bed instead. anyway, it was ok for both of them, they had decided to have fun themselve, and was proven they did...

wind was super strong that nite, the tent had been dancing the whole nite....look at the wobbly tent..... we had to petrol the 4 corners of the tent every now and then to make sure they were still in shape... look, we still need to add heavy stones to secure them......

finally morning came, and our tent survived the ordeal, it was still standing firmly.... however, after the nite struggle, we had decided to give it a rest, it was sent to the casket (the rubbish dump)... sorry, TENT, you had shethered us, but we still gave you up.... :(

the morning is beautiful...look at the beautiful sun, the beautiful water.....................

in fact, in some parts of the island... there's still alot of beautiful corners which we did not pay much attention to....(other than the boring concrete city which we usually faced)........

after admiring the beautiful and relaxing view, had a hearty breakfast, we headed home for our nice, warmth bed......

sort of last minute

mummy woke me up yesterday morning and said, "they(the mahjong troup) are not coming, where do you want to go?" well, I replied "Changi Chapel".

Next, we were getting ready to go... it was pretty last minute... rest of the family were not interested, so two knowledgeable ones went :)

Mummy was so confident that there was a bus 29 at the bustop where my former kindergarden used to be... but when we reached there, there is only 2 buses with the no. 9... bus 9 & bus 19... (mum has 50% memory span, she can only remember half and forget the other half).
In the end, we took a cab there... the museum wasn't big, in fact, it was quite small (sort of, to me). We took around 1-1/2 hrs to cover the whole place, then we headed to Changi Village for tea (sort of), mummy was hungry ...haha

Went to Changi beach after that, took some nice photos....

while taking photos at the beach, a sudden downpour... we quickly ran for shelter... went back to changi village when the rain stopped... took few more pictures while waiting for the rest of the family to come for dinner together.. and guess what? a cat following mum, it seems to like mummy's feet :)

another lonely soul.... later these two lonely souls had dinner with the family and then headed home :)

Sweet 16th??? (25 nov)

25 November 2008.
That was the 16th birthday of dear Clinton, however, his birthday was quite a normal day... very normal indeed...
the birthday boy should have the rights to choose the itinerary of the day, but it was snatched away by someone :( haha CULPRIT : THE DAD

First, we went to a chicken rice shop for lunch... which was okay (for him), because its his FAVOURITE... next we headed to the popular bookfest, which wasn't what he had wanted (it was the sis's idea)... he had wanted a Hippo Tour... (the cause behind the bookfest is, see below for yourself........)

that's it, is her...Rui En, she's having an autograph session there, and the sis wanted a glimsp of her and her signature, and that's sacrified the poor brother's birthday program.... naughty sis.....

Afterwhich, we went for dinner.... Well... mummy, Clinton and Gracie were expecting something better... though economy's bad and is recession time, but come on, its his SWEET 16th birthday... but we ended up in a foodcourt... :(

Next, it was home. but at least he got what supposed to be meant for a birthday, cutting cake and receiving presents...(see his wide grin from one end to the other). thats the end of the sort of sweet sweet birthday... haha...

To Clinton: try harder on your 17th birthday :) but mine (sis) must be better :) haha
